Thanks for the welcome! It was your posts on boards.ie that eventually led me to sign up here (although I've been using the directory function to search for decent pubs / restaurants for ages).

Just paid my Beoir fee there via PayPal, so hopefully has gone through.

I'd absolutely be up for meeting in ATG but I may possibly be away next Weds unfortunately. I'll have a sniff around, but I presume there's a thread about these meet-ups and they're reasonably regular?

Yeah, just keep an eye on the Events board.

Just spotted this thread so throwing in a short introduction. I'm Sean from Galway, but living in Dublin. Just getting into craft beer now but have been dabbling in kit brewing for awhile with a Coopers IPA and a Canadian Blonde done and dusted. Made a batch of fresh apple cider last summer and have a Weissbier and Mead on the go right now. Great to have somewhere to ask for info!

Hello fellow brewers ,
My name is Keith but everybody since childhood has called me Gibo, hence the username.I live in Dunshaughlin Co.Meath the past 18 months prior to that I lived in Wolverhampton West midlands England for five years, prior to that I lived and am from Dublin. My love for ale started in Wolverhampton before that I was drinking Guinness and the usual mainstream yellow fizz and cider.I started kit brewing at the start of the year from there I have moved on to all grain brewing,I have just done my second batch , well my stout and cranberry is in the primary fermenter bubbling away nicely. My first batch was an American Ale I made a few mistakes but I expected that and had no major dramas. The ale itself turned out to be quite nice.I am looking forward to the stout , should be good to go for X-mas.I now consider home brewing a passion which I hope to until it is possible.I am a newbie but really just want to learn all that is possible, it seems regarding the making of beer/ale/stout the imagination is the only limit.
