Welcome Casper, nice to see the occasional fellow Galway brewer! 

Hi everybody,

My name is Enda - I'm another Galway based home brewer. I should probably have introduced myself sooner but there you go. I've been brewing on and off for the last 10 years and am slowly but surely working on transforming the house into a brewery (I wish!). Luckily my long suffering fiancée is tolerant of my hobby (obsession?) and even designs some of the labels when i get a notion to bottle a batch now and again. Lately I've started to build brewing equipment for that extra feeling of satisfaction while I'm downing a pint of HB. Although after building a kegerator I seem to be getting more visitors than before for some reason...
I'm looking forward to meeting with other brewers and lovers of craft beer from Galway and further afield.
FranJ and I have been in touch about starting a craft beer appreciation/home brew club - check out the thread on the events section for more details!

Enda

Howdy, Ciarán's the name. I was at the craft brewfest in the RDS this weekend and loved it. Didn't know this site existed until then. I'm not a home-brewer (yet), but I love craft beers and luckily I'm close to Dublin city and Redmonds off-licence so I have access to a lot of decent beers. I'm considering brewing some of my own beer at some stage, so I'm here to have a look around and ask questions...

Welcome Ciarán! I hope you find all you need to know about starting your first batch of beer, I did mine last christmas and my only complaint is not enough time brewing! Everyone here are really helpful so do not hesitate to ask any questions about anything!

Always god to have another [potenial] homebrewer and a craft beer lover!

Longtime lurker here, after meeting some of the regulars at the RDS over the weekend, thought I should post. I've been a kit brewer for the last couple of years. I'm currently drinking a very palatable Munton's European Pilsener, this time made with dark malt extract. I occasionally dig out the Chilli and Ginger beer I made 10 months ago, unfortunately it still tastes of sprouts.

This site's proven very useful for kit beer advice, and should I move to all-grain, I'll be re-reading the posts about this also.

Paul (Who's glad he bailed early on Sunday, I couldn't do what I did on Friday again).
