Can I ask a really stupid question at this point .. when they say 10 barrel (16hl) are they referring to the capacity of the systems fermentor(s) ? I take it the HLT is larger and the mashtun could be smaller - or am I just showing my ignorance, I have been on brewery tours but never paid too much attention to the capacities of the pieces of equipment.

Yes but it must be one of each brew every second week cause the guy was referring to their two brews combined as far as I understood,I guess they are hardly doing two half full brews a week !

Who's Dave Porter, the kit maker or Oslo owner.

My understanding is that 10 barrel is the maximum size of a single brew, which is dictated by the mashtun size really -- fermenting is separate.

Yes the fermenters are what you are referring to,the mash tun capacity is variable depending on the amount of wort you extract and what s/g it is.
