including one adjustable one at 134 euro. add shipping for 10-20kg =32 euro(dunno how heavy it is, can't be this much I'd imagine but worst case) to this and it comes to 166 euro, almost 100 quid cheaper. It might not be quite as good, but I'm sure it'd do the job.

Candirect's prices don't include vat so you'd have to add another 19% to the price.

As others have said it'd very much depend on the mill, it's all well and good quoting crankandstein prices for what is effectively a set of rollers with no hopper, no motor, etc etc, when I look at the crankandstein and then the price of actually getting it to a working state 250 is not too far off.

I'd be in on the uncrushed grain, but the mill is my issue, 250 does not seem so far off if it'll plug in and go with no extra work.

The crankandstein doesn't need a motor as you can power it with your drill, no modification required. I very much doubt your average homebrewer is looking for a fixed motor mill.

There is an option to include a base and hopper for $40. You're still looking at about $155 which is approx. €115.

BarleyCrusher and MonsterMill are competitors to Crankandstein and run at similar prices for similar features.

Shipping is obviously extra with any of the mills but a bulk order makes the shipping much more economical and I would expect that saving to be passed on to prospective buyers.

I still think €250 for a mill is too high to get a significant take up but people will make their own decisions.

For 250 euro I'd be surprised if you couldn't find a metalworking course where you could learn a new skill and make one yourself too. Would love to do that, must find the time.

OK well by my reckoning previously where my only drill at home is a cordless that does a bit of DIY, I was going to have a buy a drill to drive a drill that came as rollers. If you have no suitable drill then it's close on 130 for a halfway decent corded drill plus the hassle of assembly, as said it's close enough on price if it's ready to plug in and go, but it's a hefty chunk of change I'll agree.
