That's a very sensible approach EoinMag. Stainless steel kit will last a lifetime.

I would do this myself if I had somewhere to set it up. As it stands, I have to be able to disassemble my brewing kit at the end of the brew day and store it under the stairs.

Not that I have more money than sense, but I'll end up with a lifetime job even if it takes me over a year to get the necessary cash together to pay for it, long term commitment so it's allowed to take me a while to sort out. [/quote:yxvp2x05]

Wish I'd taken a more long term view of it like you. I ran around buying lots of kit, most of which I'm not 100% happy with.

Yeah it's taking me a while, and to be honest the only reason is that now with only me working and a child in the house, I can no longer impulse buy so things need to be planned and budgetted for. If I'm gonna wait a half a year to get a piece of kit, it's not gonna be bodged or plastic goddamit

That price might be a little over enthusiastic, a good quality drill from someone like AEG and a High Grade Holesaw Set should cost you more in the region of €200.[/quote:hq8ola06]

Again, if I'm gonna bother with a drill I'm gonna get a long term one, I've bought too much cheap tat over time.....and I'd rather spend the money on ready made kit. I'll pay a workman if I really need "drill skills" in the house.

Fair Enough, but just in case you ever have to buy a drill i would have to recommend AEG they are a high Quality Pro tool that actually sell at Trade prices unlike some other big brands sold in green boxes to the masses. BTW i don't work for AEG or even Sell AEG products but they have been recommended to me by plenty of carpenters and Fabricators over the last year or so.

I will remember that, the last one I had a loan of was a deWalt and that was supposedly very expensive.

OOh, just looked back and I'm not trying to suggest that AEG are cheap tat, sorry if my statement seems a little flippant. Not intended.
