Is there some confusion here? Homebrewwest has some safbrew and Danstar yeasts.
Or are we talking about whitelabs direct?

Do they not supply these? [/quote:czrj5n4v]

I just checked and it has improved since I last looked but there is no Nottingham or US05 which would be the first two I would stock.

Send a mail to Brian or call him. I already told him to have a look and see if he could get the white labs stuff in stock, I presume he is working on it.
But I am pretty sure he is working on getting a bigger selection of dried yeasts.

As said send him a mail or call him and let him know what you want, he's very amenable and obviously wants the business to work.

Yes he also needs US04 and windsor.

Hi Guys,
Thanks a million for the info. I guess what we really need is a list of the things that you use. If you could tell me what you bought over the last year, I'd have a much better idea of what to source.

The dry yeasts should be OK. We've been working on bulk grain from UK and Germany, but its not that cheap and the freight costs are very high.

We are able to source the following from a UK brewer:
- 25 Kg sacks grain,
- 5 Kg hop bags,
- 500 g yeast
and are waiting for prices. But these are BIG quantities, especially for the hops and yeast. The advise from them is to source a local MicroBrewery so maybe we will try that route. We dont want to rush into it and get the wrong grains and hops. We'd rather wait and get the right products at the right price from a supplier who could guarantee us a continuous supply.

We have asked our Spraymalt suppliers to quote for custom packed 5 Kg and 10 Kg bags. If we can get these at the right price, we will stock loads of them.

In the meantime, we have found a good source for Cooper's LME and I think the new price will be about 9 euros for a 1.5 Kg can. Would there be much of a demand for it?

I know we are losing lots of customers because we still dont have a wide enough product range. But we are working on it and will get there eventually!

The 5kg bags of Spraymalt would be great for us extract brewers. Looking forward to that!!

Not sure about the LME, I tend to always go for the DME, better shelf life and easier to work with.

Gees, a bag of hops that big must be fairly massive!! I dunno if people would be interested in those kind of quantities of hops and yeast but I could be wrong!!!
