Competition is good and is the heart of free market enterprise ( although I actually believe that the free market is a myth <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) --> ).

A very good point. The worst thing that could happen is that we put others out of business by being 30% cheaper on some products but then not carrying a full range.
But thats not where we are coming from. Its just that Ireland is at least 30% more expensive for everything! From restaurant prices to fridge/freezers to groceries (Tesco in Galway just dropped prices by 22%, why now? Why not years ago? Maybe its got something to do with Aldi and Lidl, and the fact that a lot of Galway people are travelling up north to shop). And why should Galway people have to drive to Enniskillen to shop? We think its ridiculous!
Our mission is to bring quality products to Irish consumers at real prices (UK prices + the 6% VAT differential; check our prices . . . this is what we already do).
But currently we dont carry as large a range of products. We will though. We will be expanding our range every time we re-order.
With some products, we will need grow our volume before we can stock them because we will have to order in very large volume (e.g. grain) before the shipping costs drop, and they do go off.
We have strong connections with manufacturers and distributors in the US and in Australasia (Fermtech, and Brewcraft), so in time we hope to be able to offer a hugely extended product range. But we need the volume, because we would need to ship in a 40 ft container to make it worthwhile. And we will get the volume because our pricing is here to stay (its not just some kind of introductory pricing). We figure 6 months to a year before we are stocking everything our competitors stock, and much more too.
As for Starsan, we would have to get it from US.
