That'd actually be a good location, although wasn't a wine shop there that closed recently? But I doubt it was located related though.

IMO people who go to a homebrew shop are people who have decided to go homebrew shopping and have looked up where to do it. Passing trade costs big money, rentwise, and I don't think you'd get that back.

I live in Malahide and I probably would never make it to sandyford - driving to blanch/M50 on a saturday is torture.
If I were you setting up a shop like that in Dublin, I'd pick an area central - eg - look at the dublin bikes zone - I'd agree with the previous comment about not going south beyond the canal.

If you go north / south / west - you are bound to become unattractive to distant customers

Just my opinion - best of luck !

That's interesting - I'd be more inclined to drive around to malahide (live in goatstown) to pick up some stuff than to drive into town.
Just goes to show you can't please everybody - looks like you need 2 locations in Dublin now Donal, one in the centre, and one in Sandyford <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->. Why think small when you can think world domination. Mwah ha ha ha!

But why? In that case you'd be only catering for people to pick really small items.
