Hi, My name is Aisling. Currently living in Edinburgh but originally from Castlbar. I'm investigating the possibility of opening a Microbrewery pub in the West of Ireland. I'd love to hear from anyone who can offer any advice/tips or recommendations. Very new to this! My email is <!-- e --><a href="This email address is being protected from spambots. Welcome to the group, Aisling. I'd say your best bet would be to get out west and talk to the brewers already operating there: the likes of Mescan, Burren and Hooker.

Hey folks

Paddy McDonald here from 12 Acres Brewing Company Co Laois...we are in process of setting on our family farm in Killeshin, Co Laois. Hope to have beer on shelves by xmass.
Our family have been growing malting barley on our farm for the malting and distilling industries for 6 generations. So now we're brewing our own beer with our own barley and our own spring water with traceability from ground to glass. I'm a beer Ireland member and GCB qualified. looking forward to plenty of beertalk!

Best of luck Paddy, great to hear another micro on the way & love the sound of a micro with their own barley- you'll have to grow your own hops in the long run!!! Are you planning to bottle or keg?
