hi there

john here, living in Co Meath but close to Maynooth/Kilcock.

not got a clue about home brewing but getting a starter kit in the next week or two.

if i was to pick 3 of my favourites it would be Helvick gold, Dark arts and Suffolk strong vintage ale.

was thinking of buying something like this to start with

Hello, born in West Limerick, grew up in Bedford England, so plenty of Real Ales, live in Dublin past 20 years, great to see Ales getting onto the shelves. Old Peculiar, Moonraker (only just came across this what a lovely Malty taste) and Python are 3 current faves I've bought in Dublin. Galway Hooker not bad, the Porterhouse stuff ok'ish any suggestions welcome, glad to see sutch a forum

Welcome, if you like Hooker then you might want to try 8 Degrees Howling Gale pale ale and Metalman pale ale.
