Hi there! Been a member for a while now but never introduced myself, didnt notice the the subject on the general banter column to be honest.
Well im Donal, live in Meath and am new to the bewing world i.e; im still doing kits.... Have brewed in the past; coopers Lager 5/10...Brewmasters scottish heavy 8/10... coopers Irish stout 8/10... younges lager 3/10... coopers aussie pale ale 7/10. At the mo iv a john bull lager ageing and a st.peters ruby red ale in primary. Iv also made 2 wines with great success and a spirit base kit mixed with rum essence which I was pleasantly surprised with. Well thats about it, thanks for the help so far everyone and keep up the good work.

Hey Donal... Welcome in... I'm new here myself...

Interested in the St. Peter's Ruby Red Ale you've got on the go. I'm just starting to drink mine having given it about 4 weeks in the bottle. Tastes really good, but has a slightly acidic/bitter aftertaste which I'm not sure is intended. I'm sure my batch isn't spoiled but I'd be interested to know if you get it with yours. I'm a big fan of their Organic Ale as I have a mate from the town where they're based, 'Bungee'.

Hey there felini, thanks for the welcome. Gotta say this site is a god send! I'v popped my ruby red into the king keg yesterday so in about 4 weeks(sooo Long) I'll be able to send u a message letting u know if mine has the same after taste as your own. Iv had that problem with a couple of brews in the past too. Especially with Lagers for some reason??
