Hi All.

Mick here based in Wexford/Wicklow border area.. Bought an old farmhoue complete with v.small orchard of apples and pears. The pears turned out to be perry pears (that means they arent edible..I tried) so I got into brewing last year by having a go at building a cider press and making my own scrumpy perry.. Turned out well so getting ready now for the new season..

Since then was bitten by the bug and have brewed a number of kit bears and finally have plunged into all-grain with a recent SNPA clone. I'm a Weissbier fan and love English Ales (Timothy Taylor Landlord/London Pride), wifes Engligh so keep a steady supply in from the inlaws..

Welcome to the site! I don't think I've ever had proper perry. Would love to try some of that.
