The report recommended that offies be allowed open at 10.30am on Sunday. The Bill keeps it at 12.30 but restricts all other days to 10.30am. Grrr.

A bit of flutering about with opening hours, bit of flutering about with how non-exclusive offies operate.

A few more laws about fines, closure orders and underage selling that'll barely be enforced.

Well at least they're looking busy, but I'd be fully sure that nothing will change other than the silent majority of drinkers will be discommoded and further ripped off.

I wasn't expecting anything more novel than utter incompetence and acquiescence to the vested interests from FF, so at least this is nice and consistent with everything they've done in the last 11 years.

According to news reports the new laws will allow. Non public places to be searched without a warrant. Under 18's to be used to entrap alcohol sellers.

It seems to me to be going a bit over the top to change some fairly basic freedoms people have because of some teenagers with a love of scrumpy.
