I would be very surprised if they are going to try an push two stout on the international market, but time will see

One thing that's sure - the €3.20 pints of Beamish at the local are likely to become a lot more expensive!

Do the big multinationals tend to put surplus kit on the market, or do they scrap it? mmmmmm imagine the fun you could have with a brewery the size of Beamish - put me down for the conditioning tank/fermenter painted to look like a Beamish can if anyone is putting in a bid

Reckon those things will take a sankey connection?

Your Cork grammar is nearly right. I assume it should read:
"Beamish Can, yellow cone and life, boy."

Just to add to the potential downgrading / demise of Beamish stout it is my underanding, and an open secret in amny quarters, that Beamish stout has been brewed in Scotland for the last couple of months and that the south main street brewery is brewing Miller only. The fact that Heineken are now the owners of the brewery it msut have been a decision either made or endorsed by themm.

So mcuh for Beamish Genuine Irish Stout ....
