I really hope they revisit the recipe for this beer.
To me it tastes nothing like an IPA - more like an Irish Red.
I was really looking forward to trying this beer - which I did a handful of times, in different locations as I was convinced there was something wrong with each one I tried as it tasted nothing like an IPA (not even an English one). Nothing terribly unpleasant there but that's about the best thing I can say about it. I'd drink it over Smithwicks.
They can and have made much more interesting beers.

I hope everyone else here has been honest in their opinions.
Feedback is useless to anyone if it isn't completely honest.

So, do people here really think this is an interesting beer and a good addition to their portfolio?
Should Trouble go back to the drawing board with this one?

It sort of seems that people on here are very reluctant to criticise (even constructively) an Irish micro brewer or any of their brews. I'm not sure this is a good idea for anyone involved.

I have not tried this beer on cask.

Brilliant post, sir.

Though its nicer on cask, which is more suited to its (very) subtle flavouring, I agree its nothing special. Not sure why no Irish brewer has produced a big american style IPA? Surely there is a gap in the market for one.

Agreed 100%. I have not tried this beer yet, it was gone when I arrived at the FW Festival, so I can't comment.
I criticised the brewers for their unresponsive approach to new business on here and was told that my postings were always negative. A post on Boards with a similiar complain was dismissed as being unreliable because it was on Boards. This same beer is being criticised on Boards, is that unreliable also?

White Gypsy has an APA- available in bottles (and it's very good too).

As for Sabotage- to date I've only had 3 pints- 2 cask and 1 keg. The cask was very good- much better than the keg and this was the feedback I gave to Paul and Stephen. I'm sure there will probably be some tweaking before the next batch and I look forward to trying it.

i thought the cask and keg were very similar. if you only had it at the launch then you need to try it again because everything i heard makes it sound like it was very heavly dry hopped, missed it in ATG myself.

Its not bad and i would have the odd one but its not a style i personally like.
