Yea I managed to make it and try the cask and kegs versions side by side. I thought the cask version tasted very much like water melon. Very unusual. The keg version was helped by having some much needed carbonation, but I felt it could have been more highly bittered. The dominant flavour was a sort of light roasty chocolate, with the hops playing a surprisingly subdued role. If I had blind tasted them I don't think I would have said they were the same beer.
I was chatting to one of the Trouble lads and he said they're planning to re-locate the brewery to Kill village, just outside Naas. That will definitely make it my local brewery!
By the way, does anyone know if Thom Prior is still involved in Trouble?
