All I have to say really is ownership has changed, but as long as the guys on the ground stay in place and keep the spirit, I'll be happy.

Call me idealistic but I think this is a sign that Molson Coors are reforming, and at the end of the day what we want is reform, we want our brewers to be better, make better beers, support local industry, support local suppliers, support local pubs, cooperatively compete in a healthy way with each other, make better beers ( yes I said it twice) and in the end we want more breweries doing their own thing.

Does it really matter if one faceless individual in a nice house down the road takes our coin or many faceless individuals all over the world take our coin?

To me. As long as they spend more making the beer great, and less marketing the beer great , then I'll be happy.

Coors are notorious for busting unions - I know people in the US who wouldn't drink them for that reason. The Coors family also has a history of generously supporting arch conservative causes, if you care where your beer money goes. Read the screed on the back of Porterhouse's beer menu some time.

In fairness, a lot of this goes back to the 70s and 80s; today's generation of leadership is more moderate. But you can't be big in corporate America without getting your hands dirty, which is one of the reasons to support independent breweries.
