I have to agree 100% with Adeptus here. Member or not, if someone believes that advertising standards have been breached, then reporting it to the ASA is the action of a good citizen, certainly not “a disgrace and a bitter and twisted person”.
Unsurprisingly, they were mistaken and your “Brewed in the EU” is perfectly fine, as Belgium is an EU member state.
