I am amazed that no one in the UK or Ireland is cashing in on this. We do have a load of 3kg kits, and a good few are quite nice. But the packaged kits in the US look brilliant. All the grains, hops, yeast, measured out with a sure-fire recipe. 3kg kits, while good, can't compete with that.

Ahem, I'd have to respectfully disagree. I have the ported better bottle with racking adapter. Great investment. Easy to clean as well, hot water and washing soda cleans them up brilliantly. I had the same concern regarding cleaning when I was told about washing soda. That stuff is a miracle worker and cost about 80p a bag.

Meh. Whoever had the lowest price, shipping inclusive, gets my business. I'd order from Zimbabwe if the price was good enough.

Yeah I like my Better Bottles a lot too. They are very easy to clean. I use hot water and bruclean with a face cloth thrown in and they clean up fine.
The port at the bottom is great for racking and makes bottling much simpler.
They may not last as long as a glass carboy. I'm afraid of the glass carboys, if I dropped it which is likely there would be carnage.
