We have Munton's extra light and Munton's extra dark arriving in next week. We seem to be more expensive for grains, hops, and spraymalt than we should be. Which is strange because our margins are the same as for all our other products, which by and large are at very good prices.

It would be really helpful if you guys checked out our grains, hops, and spraymalt prices (see the new products section on the homepage of our site <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="hwww.homebrewwest.ie">hwww.homebrewwest.ie just to see if we are comparing like with like. If we are, then we really need to look at other suppliers.

Thanks guys,

Brian

Sorry, the crystal malt. There's a fairly good picture of it at: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.homebrewwest.ie/crystal-malt-crushed-500grm-64-p.asp">www.homebrewwest.ie/crystal-malt ... m-64-p.asp

Its Young's. As its the only crystal malt we have, I cant compare its colour with others. The picture is pretty good though.

+1 on getting in some 3kg bags of spray malt if you can. Or even bigger bags if possible.

Especially light DME and extra light DME. Its the most expensive ingredient for extract brewers.
Those 500g bags arnt much good as 3kgs per extract beer is the norm.

The problem we have is that our suppliers only have 500g and 1 Kg bags, and the 1Kg bags are only a couple of cents cheaper that 2 by 500g. We have loads of 500g extra light Muntons DME coming in next week, and extra dark as well. Looks like we will have to find another supplier for 3 Kg bags soon!

Brupaks do the 3kg iirc.
