Yup, sure can. We have ordered them, should be in next week.

newkie, the order hasn't shipped yet so I will try to get some of those yeasts thrown in. Better Bottles are ordered.

There should be some stuff of interest to you guys, mashing bins, straining bags, 3 Kg grain bags, and lots of new hops etc. All the new stuff arriving is in the "New Stock Due In Wedns 8 July" section of the site (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="homebrewwest.ie">homebrewwest.ie).

Hope I've got it kinda right. I was wondering if I should try to get some 15 Kg cans of extract as well?

Are those 15kg cans of extract in liquid form? If so, I probably wouldn't bother, as most people (and by most people I mean me) prefer dry extract (DME/sparymalt) as it keeps better.

Yeah I think you need high turnover to keep that stuff fresh, I'd wait until you know you're shifting the necessary volumes.

Oh no, I agree that *competition* is a good thing. Scullduggery, however, of the type undertaken by some of the major supermarket chains, is not.
I would rather see competition for the best service and range of products than purely on prices.

You also get more bang for your buck with DME. 1kg of DME = 1.2kg LME but DME is only slightly more expensive per kg than LME. I normally buy the 3kg bags of DME. Also it's easier to weigh and handle than LME.

If you are going to buy only one type of DME, I would suggest buying extra-light. The 500g bags are ok for kit brewers but an extract brew uses around 2.5 to 3kg of DME.

I used to by 5kg bags from <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="www.Brouwland.com">www.Brouwland.com, 5 at a time for €30 each (usually light DME, and they also sell 25kg bags). They stored great. In fact, I think I still have a 5kg bag for bumping up the OG on heavy beers.
