just realised its not s-189 i have but w34/70, last time i brewed with this i had some major issues with it (i'll not say what as that could give the game away at a potential taste test, i have a few things that i plan to change though to see if i can get it to behave itself better.

Would someone like it?[/quote:2ql5ldkr]If you want, I'll brew it up as well (unhacked; kit & a kilo style). Hopefully it'll give us a view on 'kit tang'

Have you a recipe in mind? To match the kit we'd be looking at about 1.045 OG and 21 IBU. Is that realistic?

Yeah i can match that.

Does anyone else want to host this illustrious brew event? Anyone...?[/quote:2uy32ioz]

I can certainly host it, but that means all you lads jumping on the Galway bus to Rochfortbridge. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Quick question, how many bottles would i need to produce, i was thinking of doing this as a split batch between an ale yeast i can trust to make good beer (TV3) and possibly only turning over one or two gallons over to the lager yeast, i'd probably do this in demijohns so i can play around with a couple of variables, which would have the added advantage of being easy to keep them under airlock as well.
