OK so Sbillings is in fact doing a Lager and I am doing a blonde ale. We both use the same recipe other than the yeast then?

When is this happening, before or after the belfast beer festival? i have some lager yeast (s-189) in the freezer and i could probably knock out a lager at proper lager temps and have it ready for the beer fest, if anyone was coming up to that i could pass it onto them to take to the taste challenge.

I was thinking of doing it on Saturday the 27th of November - the week after the Belfast Beer Festival. I'll (hopefully) be in Belfast for it. Of course the offer still stands if you want to come down and partake in the fun (and admire your shrine[/url:ujjad3h4] - it took ages to get it up the stairs).

Does anyone else want to host this illustrious brew event? Anyone...?

I can certainly work with that: it makes the October Bank Holiday weekend brew time for those of us doing ales. Does it allow enough time for someone to do a lager?
