Are we doing two of each kind of beer?
Are we agreeing on recipes, or just brewing something lager like and letting the beers fight it out?

I think the recipes should be agreed. That's proper science.

Speaking of which, can we please replace Jason Donovan with his better-known blonde co-star (Kylie)

So we have
Me - Kit
BeerNut - Kit
Nimbus - Extract
Brian_C - Extract
SBillings - All-grain
Saruman - All-grain

Ive ordered one of these[/url:2lf16nmm] which I liked cos it didn't actually say whether it was an ale or a lager <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
I reasoned that a lager kit will have a lot less hops than the all-grain or extracts will, and will therefore be easy to pick out! However, I can always get another kit for this challenge if we end up going with something else.

Then we can't say "this is a lager kit" can we?

Any other thoughts in kit selection?

Without temp control, none of the beers are going to be real lagers.... Looking here[/url:2xk5otoh] would seem to indicate that the Coopers Bavarian Lager is the favoured of all the Coopers range, along with associated ways of hacking[/url:2xk5otoh] it.

I seem to remember SBillings saying that he had an old lager kit that could be put on to see if the ageing was a decernable factor in the 'kit tang' thing
