I asked Geoff about doing an all-in price to keep things simple for the night. Here's the suggestion from Geoff regarding beer and food costs:

Glass Erdinger draught €2.50
Glass Watau (witbier) draught €2.50
Glass Hooker draught €2.50
Bottle Goose Island (maybe between two) €5.00
Throw in the food and we`ll say €15 per head

I think that's pretty good value, although I expect some of you to comment on the Erdinger. I think the draughts are easier for them to deal with and keep it small and cheap. I'd suggest that if people want to try other bottled beers (Hoegaarden, Schöfferhofer, SNIPA etc) then just buy a bottle on the fly and maybe split it? It'll make organisation easier anyway. Or just buy em after the tasting for a longer night

Sounds brilliant. Me, I'd have insisted that the sponges buy the commercial bottled beers to compensate partially for their total inadequacy, but it's not my event to organise...

Although in fairness other brewers will bring something next time. It's the nonp-brewers you have to watch
