yeah the usual place, which is why I'm suspecting the drops. The only thing different I did is a)3 weeks in secondary, but I have done that before as far as I know, and b) drops instead of sugar.

methinks a Carbonation Drops thread with appropraite analysis is required

The lads on Basic Brewing used them in their 6 pack IPA video poscasts. They double-dosed a bottle by mistake (you could see it happening) and were wearing safety glasses and ear protection when opening it in a later podcast All unnecessary. We overprimed a recent batch using glucose. We'd primed for 17 litres but only got 14 out because of blockages in syphon tubing, so the bottle I tried was very fizzzy indeed. Was supposed to be a strong english ale, but feels (and tastes) more like a strong Belgian Ale.

Probably a good reason to add the glucose to the fermenter and rack to bottling bucket afterwards - at least you then have the right proportion of priming sugars whatever volume you collect

lol

I'm just thinking of some poor sod in the future looking for information on Carbonation Drops and having to wade through 11 pages of chat about us drinking beer years previously We need to get the collective wisdom of the group stored for posterity
