Sounds good, don't mean to be picky but Goose is too good to share

I think food at half time would be good as we'll have built up an appetite by then

Yep, at the moment the plan is a bottle each, and I for one am happy with that

I gotta say though, I'm really enjoying the Hooker. I pretty much just drank Hooker last Friday night apart from one Goose and a Chimay Rouge to finish me off. It's unusual for me to have the same beer more than twice in one night, so I'm obviously hooked!

I think food half way through lends itself better to the flow of the evening, but I can see why food first would be better for those coming straight from work (like me, but I'll manage )

You're not the only one. Their heads must be swelling after the praise they've been getting recently.

[quote:3trzm09u]The easiest question you can ask us about this new Bridgestone Irish Food Guide is, "what is the best new drink you discovered during three years of research?" The answer is "Galway Hooker." No question about it. Aidan Murphy and Ronan Brennan's beer is a masterpiece of brewing, a pale ale that is quite the most moreish drink we have encountered in years[/quote:3trzm09u]

This must be ALMOST as big an honour as ICB Beer of the Year for 2007

Phew. I finished the last of the Hooker on Wednesday night and was worried they wouldn't get any more (Declan had to show me a text he got from Ronan guaranteeing supply for the weekend).

There are a very few beers that I get cravings for when I'm not even in drinking mood. Maeve's, God rest her, was one. And now there's Hooker.

I vote for half-time food as well, btw.

Wow! High praise indeed. Well done Aidan and Ronan!

Yeah, they were in stock on Friday, so we're safe

Another vote for half time food and a full bottle of the Goose.

How may bottles of my wheat beer should I bring along, do you think?

I only have 4 X 750ml bottles of my Wit left, so that's how much of that I'm bringing, but I have about 40 X 500ml bottles of my unspiced wheat.
