"This is beer"... what a statement

Ignore it and move on.... just like 99.9% of consumers will.

I'd love to see what their hit-rate is, probably up a couple of hundred percent since it was posted on this thread!

Ok I can't ignore it after reading the tasting notes for a couple of its wonderfully fruity and hoppy beers:

[b:1wpml7k6]Heineken:[/b:1wpml7k6] Dutch blond pilsner lager, light and easy drinking with hoppy, fruity flavours and a soft, dry finish.
[b:1wpml7k6]
Tiger:[/b:1wpml7k6] Blond, Asian pilsner-style lager, light and easy drinking with hoppy, fruity flavours and a soft dry finish

[b:1wpml7k6]Birra Moretti:[/b:1wpml7k6] Blond Italian pils, light and easy drinking, with fruity-hoppy flavours and a dry lingering finish.

Call a spade a spade..

Heineken products are fine "craft" products that can be paired well with food...

At least it highlights that beer and food can be paired well, I guess.

The macro industrial brewers trying to put off a craft image when they're anything but IS depressing, though.

Do they actually say Heineken is a craft beer? I was going to post more or less the CAMRA line that 'craft' is such an undefined term there's nothing to stop big companies using it too. Hence CAMRA's restriction of it's ambitions to promoting real ale. But I couldn't see Heineken making the craft claim.

Where have you BEEN for the last year?
Have you noticed what Diageo's been doing with Smithwicks branding?

Do you really think Heineken is somehow different and above trying to redefine "craft beer" to include their industrial produced chemical concoctions?
