Hi there. New member here, enjoying the site very much.

Been thinking about getting into brewing for a while and the other half bought me a starter kit for Christmas. As a result I have been trawling this site for the last few days.

I plan to use the supplied plastic bottles and the supplied Coopers lager kit for my first brew.
I hope to get a lot of mistakes out of the way with these while I build up my collection of glass bottles.
Then I plan to use a Woodfords Wherry or a coopers all malt for my 2nd brew.

Is this a reasonable approach or should I just chuck out the plastic bottles and coopers lager kit?

No use the lager kit and plastic bottles first. Get your mistakes out of the way with a crappy kit and if it turns out better than expected then it is a bonus <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Oh and welcome to the site lads.
