Also never got round to a proper introduction... sorry.

I'm in north Dublin and have been brewing for a couple of months now; some buddies join in on a BrewDay now and then. Started with a few kits, then moved to all-grain and have generally been pleased with the results. I have a biology background but it was certainly never as enjoyable/rewarding as home-brewing. So far I've stuck with a regular ale recipe but I hope to diversify in the coming months because I do enjoy a wide range of beer. I've found this forum a great resource for advice and tips.

Roughly where? There are a few of us in Tyrrelstown, Ongar and Swords so if you need the odd bit of gear or ingredients we should be able to help.

Hi Oddwire. There are plenty of non alcoholic things you can make using the same equipment as normal brewing. Ginger ale, root beer, malt drinks etc. You could try brewing something that does not need to ferment.

As we all seem to be coming out.........

My name is Enda....and I am a new Homebrewer.

I am living in Castleknock D15 but I'm originally from Tyrone. I have been living in Dublin this past 9 years. I started brewing about 4 months ago and this site has been a brilliant help and resource over that time. I have done several Extract brews and have just moved over to All Grain for my last two batches.

Look forward to meeting some of you guy's for a Pint.

Any decent pubs in D15 area?

Cheers

The twelfth lock on the canal is good, it has leif draught and such. The thirsty bull in Tyrrelstown serves Porterhouse Plain.

Hi,

I am very new here. I have run a business supplying keg dispense equipment for sale/rent/service since 1999. www.brewcrew.ie and www.homebars.ie">www.homebars.ie may be known to some of you.

We started off supplying only Microbrews from Irish Brewing Co., Carlow, and Dublin.

Great beers, but a very hard sell in kegs back then.
Lots of changes and fun later, we supply pretty much everything in kegs/taps that there is a decent demand for.

I am here to learn about the brewing process. I have recently started hobby brewing.

And, I am also keen to take soundings on how my business might be better able to meet certain equipment and consumable needs to this community.

So, please feel free to question me on any prices and procedures that I may have experience of. It will take me a while to read through more of the posts here.

I will start a thread somewhere suitable to direct you guys to audit sites, and to help future proof this project.

Hoping we can all learn something. Thanks for your time/space.
