HI sarah, and welcome.

Yes, there are a few women here (including an award winning brewer). Go ahead and post your survey (there have been a few here recently).

One suggestion- Go to a craft brew pub on a Friday and Saturday night and do some face-to-face research. I was given a survey to fill out at the Bull and Castle last night.

Hi Sarah

Welcome

I was at the Patricks week festival down on St Georges Dock. On Friday I was amazed to notice that from about 3:30 till 5:30 about half the clientel were Female in the 20 to 30ish bracket ( well approx)

Theye were drinking various products ( no particular female favourites !)

It was pretty even over the craft spectrum: Ciders, IPA/APAs and Stouts! Was only later that the mix turned more male

Survey away if you want a female perspective from Beoir members then ask the lads to ask their wives to answer the questions!!

Thanks a million!
I'll post the survey in a couple of days and I will also post a full breakdown of the results when I have them - they will come in useful for others who may be at the same stage as me.
All the best,
Sarah

Marketing beer to ladies is definitely a tricky one.
Pitching to one sex or another is full of landmines, look at Yorkie!
I let herself taste my various Irish micro craft beers and all I ever get back is tastes likes beer.
Likes nothing with a hop loading, delicate palette I guess, but has no issues drinking with her mates my 6 year old Chablis by the gallon
She would be delighted to complete your survey.

Hi Sarah,

Can I suggest you contact Seaneen AKA 9BeanRow[/url:3lnlhbzy]
She is a Beoir member but more importantly, she is in the industry and is responsible, alongside her partner Colin, for L. Mulligan Grocer and W.J. Kavanaghs.

Hi Sarah,
I bumped into you after the course in the Well on the Thursday.
Best of luck with the venture, my missus is not much of a drinker, but I'll get her to do a survey if one is made available.
