Hi all, one of the craft breweries wants to do something different. So if anyone has any ideas of what [b:8nirlver][u:8nirlver]style of beer[/u:8nirlver][/b:8nirlver] should be brewed, speak now and I'll pass on the info

Lambic!

Seriously though, I think a good Mild would work. Might not be that different, but how many Irish-brewed Milds have there been?

Edit: although if they want to do something different, then they should come up with a recipe that doesn't really fit into any defined category.

I'd like to see a black lager, along the lines of BrewDog Zeitgeist. Or a double IPA.

I definately agree with the double IPA.

A good wit bier or any type of wheat for that matter is missing in the Irish stable.... I do enjoy a big DIPA though.

An amber ale would be one of the most popular craft beer styles in the US, but we don't seem much of them here. Something very hoppy and flavourful, along the lines of 5am Saint.

A double IPA would be great, but how about just doing a regular IPA [b:68drfywp]properly [/b:68drfywp]with a higher ABV, say around 7%.
