True, but it´s a premium import in any other contintinental country too, where vat, duties and "all other extras" also apply

I paid 5.95 for Sierra Nevada porter in the porter house which pissed me off.

Same senario as billings only i paid €6.10 for a Budvar off a menu which turned out to be a 330ml bottle... Sickening really...

To be fair you will struggle to find a country (at least outside of Scandinavia) that imposes duty anywhere near as hefty as Ireland. I'm not justifying €6 for a Budvar, but prices in Ireland will always be higher than most of the continent while ridiculous levels of duty exist.
