Starting a brewery: the megathread 11 years 4 weeks ago #175

Hello,

I'm Alain host of RocknBrew. I'm starting a contract brewing project very soon. I'm ready to go just waiting for a brewing date from the brewery. The project is Radikale and you can follow us on Facebook www.facebook.com/radikalecoork?ref=hl and Twitter at @radikale_brews for more info on the release of the first beer. It should be in May.

My First commercial release is Hopster single hop an american pale ale. It will be quickly followed by Rubenesque a Belgian Dubbel that won a gold medal in the NHC in 2013.

Exciting time ahead, well at least for me.

Slainte.

Just back from a restaurant chain in Cork, where we supplied a Speidel micro last year. Very interesting. A lot of paperwork and delays from revenue, eho, Irish water etc. Seriously, a LOT of paperwork!

Since we are the only authorized Speidel agents on the island of Ireland, we have to provide Speidel support on the ground here, hence the visit to Cork. We are now offering micro setup assistance and advice for Speidel customers.

I'm posting here because we are working in conjunction with Speidel and a publican who has a Speidel installation in county Galway: we intend to run a one day Speidel approved hands on course in conjunction with the pub sometime in June. Its really the pub that is running this, we are supporting them. Speidel will be presenting there too.

The course will cost about 100 to 150 Euros, although I may be able to get a discount for Beoir members. In addition to a Speidel demo, advice from Speidel users, and Speidel beer sample availability and associated recipes etc. it will cover all the paperwork aspects of setting up a micro.

The idea is that if you are setting up a micro, then attending this course will save you months of lost time and potentially hundreds of hours of your time.

Would anybody here be interested?

Micro course can now be booked, but there are not many places left for June 30th, the only one where Speidel will be there:
