Looking forward to it.

I'd actually like to meet the guy to be honest - though he comes across very defensive on the tweet machine - suppose thats to be expected with some of the things that have been said on there.

Let us know when it goes up

He's happy to show ANYONE around the brewery once it's in place, & is happy to talk to anyone about what they're doing. That comes across in the interview - seriously, reach out to him if you want to chat to him .....

I must say, Listen to this podcast as soon as possible.

I must also say , after listening to that podcast its pretty clear the guys at McGargles have massive plans and Niall speaks very well about their plans. The explanation of the branding and everything is there.

I think its unfortunate that their wasn't more engagement between Beoir and McGargles; at the end of the day they will be brewing here shortly, and its no different to other lads contract brewing at existing brewers in Ireland.

I'll let everyone make their own minds up. But personally beer is subjective but at the end of the day they look like they'll have multi brand focus, McGargles as definite gateway beer. More complex branded beers to emerge later on.

One thing is beyond doubt, this is no Shadow puppet of any big brewery. I for one wish them luck and look forward to supporting another Irish Brewer

Massive plans indeed: sounds like they'll be going for the full 19,999hL to be the biggest craft brewery in Ireland.

I agree that the relationship between Beoir and the company has been unfortunate, but on the other hand when you have a website and product labels it's not reasonable to expect customers to "pick up the fuckin' phone" when they want information. Rumours thrive where there's a lack of real information and it's very easy to prevent that in the first place by putting comprehensive information about the product out with it.

Wayne - Thanks for your post and your your tweets today, it is genuinely appreciated.

John - i'm not sure what other information you expect to get on a business or beer.

Our website has contact details and background on each member of the team. It also has a direct email address and hundreds of people have used this to contact us.

Our McGargles website has Alan's phone number and a direct email address to me.
Again, Hundreds of people have used this to contact us.

The labels have our address and brand.

in 30's on google, you can find my linkedin and facebook. My linkedin has my mobile.

in November (see below) I posted on this site and clarified who we were and posted an open invitation for anyone who would like to come meet us.You could have messaged me on beoir. Unfortunately , the conspiracy theories continued here and in multiple blogs linked to Beoir members despite this. Ironically, A Member who fed these theories actually met me face to face in my previous job and asked me for assistance to set up their brewery.

A question was asked as to why a new beer business would not reach out to Beoir to get help and insight. I would suggest that if you were a new beer business and read this thread from start to finish, it would turn you off engaging with Beoir.

Not sure what else a start up business trying to get their product market can be expected to provide.

I am very happy to engage wth Beoir and as you will have heard from 11pm Somwhere's podcast, I'm pretty staright and will generally talk about any aspect of my business, but I will only do this if there is a mutual respect for facts and the reality of small businesses.

Cheers,

Niall

Just came across this and thought I could shed some light.

I am one of the guys involved. We are building a brewery in Kilcock and the brewery is being made in Ireland.

The brewer is Irish and we had to use a contract brewery in the UK as the brewery won't be up and running till after Christmas. We couldn't find a brewery in Ireland that could produce and bottle with the capacity we needed.

If anyone would like to come out to the site and have a look around and see the plans, you're more than welcome. Just PM me.
