Best value for co2 (cylinders) 14 years 4 months ago #31

Hey Rossa, Does the regulator fit directly onto the extinguisher with the nozzzle removed? I might be able to get my hands on an old fire extinguisher at work so would like to know if it can be adapted without emptying it.

Have I read somewhere that there is a difference between Food Safe c02 and Fire Extinguisher c02 (whats the betting I'm gonna feel foolish after asking this question <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!-- s:roll: --> )

The reg I got from "mybeerandwine" fits straight onto the male thread outlet on the bottle, where the extinguisher hose used to be.
Isn't "extinguisher" a pain in the ass to spell!

I was speaking to a local gas retailer this morning.
He reckons that they use CO2 with impurities in fire extinguishers.
He wasnt trying to push his own either, his 1st reply to my question about gas was "we'd be to expensive for you, try jack out the road "
