Funny you should say that, I think we already have some ready at home as not everyone on the thread here has come back looking for their orders so we have some over. I'll talk to the wife.

Hi, I don't have any ready right now, the ones I have didn't turn out quite right (they were prototypes and ended up a bit too small).
I'll be working on bags tomorrow, so I'll be able to post out on Monday, or you could collect over the weekend if you preferred.

I'll PM you now.

Slight problem guys, one of my machines has just died on me, in the middle of making a bag <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!-- s:roll: --> .

I'm in the process of PMing anyone who is directly affected.

For the time being, I'll be unable to take on any further orders until I have the machine back from the repair shop (hopefully no more than a few days).

Thanks for your patience, I'll update again as soon as normal service resumes.

Hello All,

We've had a point of concern brought up by one of the people who has already received their order about the strength of the seams.

It's in the nature of voile, consisting mostly of holes and not much substance that it's a hard material to stitch to itself and this seems to give an impression if you spot test it that the seams are not very strong, but I can say that I have tested the seams to destruction and it took a lot of concentrated pressure to cause a full failure of the seam. The seams will definitely pull and deform if spot tested, but they are double seams and the distribution of the weight of the grain in there will mean that you won't have any forces approaching what you can do in spots with your hands on the seams at any time.

I have myself used the bag three times now with a grain bill of 11.5KG dry weight, whatever that equates to wet....say add another 5KG and there is no indication of the seams even pulling, so I was sure before they went out that the design is sound from this point of view.

As said we'll guarantee them for a year, it's not purely business, I'm a homebrew enthusiast and a member of the community here who cares that you guys don't get shafted with crap and I'm enjoying being able to get people from zero to all-grain as easily and cheaply as this enabled me to make the step.

Any feedback is appreciated and we're not gonna go away so no worries.

Eoin + Mareth.

Just an update, the machine is in the shop and I should have an update on it on Tuesday, so, assuming it's not completely kaput, we should be back up and running shortly after that.
