Perry's Ale, 1870, had an OG of 1045.8 and an FG of 1006.48 -- 5.13% ABV. Not terribly exciting, or different to what every other ale brewer in the UK was turning out, but it's a start. Perry's was in Rathdowney, Co. Laois.
