Question: where is the poll? I assumed it was this thread but there really aren't too many votes. I only use tapatalk to browse the forum and can't see any separate poll or anything other than threads really.

Poll is at the top of this thread. This website isn't mobile-friendly really at all, and you should try to view on a PC.

Reading the Siebel info "each vial will be added to 1 litre of neutral beer"

So I asume that the vial conatins 1 or 2 mL? What is the actual sample size?

If more than 3 or 4 mL then the samples can be split and saved!

After all, 1L of test beer ( Read: contaminated beer ) equals 50 mL per person ( in a 20 peeps classroom )

Who wants to DRINK 50 mL!! This stuff is for smelling and maybe tasting by dipping the tongue!!

I rekon that a few uL of sample in 100 ml of beer would be more than enough for most viz. a viz. smell. As for taste - if you don't fancy sharing the chalice with others what about popsicle sticks or rather the 3 mL disposable pippettes? Like when I am testing mash run offs with my refractometer - its one drop on the glass and 2.9 mL into the old mouth analyser

I'll check with brew dock next time I'm in if it's a runner for them, it shouldn't be the toughest of sells seeing as it will only involve an hour of tasting (each time), and possibly a few members of the group might stay on for a pint after, possibly two! I know I'll be up for a couple of scoops after to reward my taste buds for their hard work.

Will, I'm not sure what the measures are but I'm guessing around 3-3 mls, I'm not used to measuring in smaller volumes than pints - I'll check it out this evening if i get a chance, but most likely it'll be sunday when I have time to check them out.

I was working with 50 ml as being a nessicary amount to get a good idea, but I guess that we could do smaller, but I think for logistical reasons 20 is more than enough people per session.

I'm sure that whatever place we'll select shot glasses will be there

Just bumping this up to the top of the list! One day of voting left!

Once the results are in can you mark yourself as confirmed on the list or remove yourself if the dates do not suit!

I'm looking forward to this tasting now, not just so I can have space for 2-3 more beers in my fridge!!
