FYI - I believe it was the DCC that stipulated the over 18s.

The reason I asked was the beerfest in the rds was kid friendly (magician, balloons etc.) and lent itself to bringing them along for a couple of hours in the afternoon. It's a shame this event doesn't do likewise but I accept it's the first time in this venue and teething problems can occur. I do think it's worth giving the feedback to Seamus, Bruce and all involved as early consultation with all stakeholders should avoid confusion next time around.

Believe me, Bruce and Seamus were still trying to get children allowed up to 12 o'clock today. Unfortunately, there was no yielding on the ban and that's when the 'strictly over 18s' appeared on the FB page and website.

Paddy's Day tomorrow, lots of families will be in watching the parade. No craft beer for them!

I arrived in today at 3.45pm with my 2an half yr old. Was politely told by security that kids must be off premises by 5pm. fair enough!

Missus arrived at 4pm! had a nice few half pints from emerald to holwing gale. Made the mistake of ordering a pint of choc truffle stout, very nice in "moderation" or on its own.

Was gently reminded by staff at 5.15. Up to messers for steak pie and a pint of seasonal then home.
