Thomas, just out of interest, did the bar staff get any training; Or were they just thrown in at it?

i would love to donate two or three hours for free but i have never pulled a pint in my life. im sure id get the hang of it quick enough. id need a few weeks notice to work it around my job and the wife/kids.

its a shame we did not have a beoir stall to meet and greet mr and mrs punter

Yeah, I saw that happening too. It's kinda funny to see the young lad stand there waiting for beer to come out.

My point was in relation to issues brought up on Boards whereby people were complaining that they were refused half pints by some bar staff. The only reason I could see for this happening was that it was hired bar staff.

If anyone refuses me a half pint tonight I'll be leaving but not before raising the issue with whoever seems to be in charge.

Just spoke to Seamus O'Hara about this and half pints are available. If you are refused service, flag it with one of the event management people.

Maybe there is a valid explaination - like they ran out of 1/2 pint plastic glasses or something.
