Brett Dundee sowed the seed, not sure how and where as country meetups are a tad more difficult than for city dwellers.
Post suitable/preferred locations/dates etc. here

location No real idea, probably ennis as its the main town I kinda know off. as for actual building no idea

Ennis might be just a bit too far for me.could possibly make it to the big smoke(limerick). patrick punches might be a good location.has a couple of pale ales and reds on tap and a great bottle selection.open to other alternatives though.

I'm thinking I can get SWMBO to bring the kids to the cinema for 2 hours and set me free? (Crescent shopping centre and Cinema are up the road)

Not sure how that would work?

Mid-West Meetup 14 years 4 months ago #5

sounds like a plan in motion johnrm. i can make it most weekends depending on whether swmbo is working or not.pretty sure brettdundee is up for it so if we pick a date of say fri 16th and see does that suit anyone.still open to alternative(venue or date) but if we have something fixed it might be easier for others to decide whether they make it or not.

Driving Charleville > Ennis on Friday 16th, passing through Limerick on about 17:15, so no drink, but could enjoy coffee and watching someone enjoying beer for an hour.

No idea where is a good spot, but theres craft brews in the Cornstore and Nancy Blakes (Vague recollection of last Thursday night...)

Tentative...
I could pop back down later for a while, say for 20:30ish, at (Insert pub here) and would volunteer as Designated driver for reasonable distances to get some sort of meet up and running.
