Before the idea of serving food with our homebrew at this Expo is discounted completely I'd like to clarify what I had envisaged yet didn't quite explain myself as well as I had hoped. The idea is that there would a few homebrew stalls at the Expo and the food stall would just be one of them. On the food stall there would be pre-prepared hot food being served and offering a matching beer to accompany it. Curries, chilli's, stews, etc. are all foods that can be prepared beforehand and reheated successfully in a pot over a flame source. Visually the stall will probably look very similar to the other stalls in fact!

The Well holds BBQs when the weather is favourably so serving food there would not be a problem I figure but this is something we could check.

Other stalls could include stalls dedicated to each level of homebrew expertise i.e. one stall for beginner level, one for intermediate, and one for advanced. This would allow interested parties to better grasp what’s involved in each stage and the additional equipment required, visually rather than theoretically. Manning each stall would be those willing to talk about the respective brewing process and go through the various pieces of equipment necessary for that particular level. And with a sample of beer to taste at each stall brewed at that particular level the interested party can better appreciate the eventual progression to the all grain advanced level, but can also appreciate what's achievable at the beginners using a simple kit.

I,d be up for this no problem. Any weekend date certainly suits me. I will be doing a mini display tomorrow night at the Oghambrew Fest if anyone is going. I will be bringing a corny full of stout, along with some gear for display. This is my first time doing anything like this so it will be fun.

Ichiban, I do like your idea, I just think we should walk before we try to run.

If we can manage to get a stall with a homebrew demonstration, some beer samples and some enthusiastic home brewers to answer questions, I will be very happy. If we achieve that this time, then maybe we can look at a more elaborate event in the future.

This sounds like a great event. May sounds achievable as it gives us time to organise, brew etc.

Talking to Shane friday nitht just before the easterfest or just after is his preferred time. He would like to see the event proceed. he asked me if we could come up with a firm proposal soon.

Cheers Rebel. One obvious possibility is Easter Monday -- some of us will be in town that weekend anyway. The Saturday after Easter, 18th April, is another option. These dates any good for anyone? Bugno -- you still up for this?
