OK, disgracefully late, the official publicity campaign for BIY 2009 starts now.

This is a low-res web-ready version of the flyer, and I'll put this on Boards too.

[img:1f5bj8w3]http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff91/IrishCraftBrewer/BIYflyer-small.png[/img:1f5bj8w3]
(Thanks to Kenmc for help with the revision.)

The full-res version for printing can be downloaded here[/url:1f5bj8w3].

The Bull & Castle's sponsorship consists of getting postcard-sized versions of this printed up. Most of them will be sent down to the 'Well with a shipment of empty kegs. We will need local members in Cork to distribute them anywhere that's appropriate. If you can, please print off posters and put them up anywhere that you think would be useful and [i:1f5bj8w3]that you have permission for[/i:1f5bj8w3] -- I can't stress how important it is to stay inside the litter laws. If in doubt, don't put it up.

Can anyone give me a list of local Cork media that a press release can be sent to?

I sent a final check e-mail to Shane at the 'Well on Friday but haven't heard back, so if anyone happens to see him in the near future, please do ask if everything's in order and if there's anything we need to do. (Edit: Shane just got back to me and is happy with the arrangements. So we're definitely good to go <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->)

And finally, tell everyone you can: it's on!

Totally Cork ( sister paper of Totally Dublin , same editorial staff I think )
Evening echo . ( try Tom Fitzpatrick , he's sound , email might be on the website <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="www.eveningecho.ie">www.eveningecho.ie I'll dig it out for ya if it's not )

Examiner if you like aswell

Radio stations ,
RedFM ( <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="www.redfm.ie">www.redfm.ie )
96fm <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="www.96fm.ie">www.96fm.ie

RedFM is more likely in general , younger target audience .

just to point out that 96fm have an events guide that gets air time while ppl are driving home in the evening that's a lot of potential audience trapped in a small space listening to the radio.

also the evening echo have an events guide, it's released every thursday. i have a lot of friends who specifically buy the echo for this section only.

it might be worth trying to get on the neil prendiille show on 96fm too. although it's love or hate him he does get a lot of listeners in the cork area.

don't know much about red fm as we don't listen to them at work and their traffic reports are crap so i don't listen to them in the car. they do however have the largest proportion of ABC1 listeners in the cork city area, this listenership is mainly at night and during the weekends*.

[size=75:27690txz]*Source: what i can remember from the red fm guys and the 07 JNLR stats for cork city and county, may not be correct at time of typing[/size:27690txz]

Yeah 96 is grand alright , I've just found RedFM a little easier to deal with , 96 is around a lot longer and is a bit more entrenched . still good for the events guide and all .

but I feel Neil might be a poisoned chalice on this one , I could be wrong though , I'm sure I have been ....once maybe ....

I'll submit the event to a local forum here in Cork . Events in that are automatically added to the Echo Downtown section on thursdays

Spoked to Shane a few days ago and he told me about this brilliant event. Just started to brew my self....second batch the coming Sunday. reckon it wont be ready for the event.
Anyway life in Cork, can almost see the Well from my gaff.... I would definitly be interested in helping out... and if you bring sleeping back and air bed some of you could crash at my place.
