OK, the wording for the publicity materials are well overdue. Here's my first cut. Comments and amendments are welcome:

I hope to get along at some stage in the evening, all going well, but will probably miss the main event.

I'd love to try and make it along to this , It's only around the corner from me , and I'd like to see the competition ( next year in my idealism I'll have beer to bring )

can we amend the Publicity statement to also mention that the Event is also supported by the hosts, i know that it should be a given because the event is going on there but maybe just to clarify and give kudos to the lads for letting us use their premises.

Just a thought, also i would imagine that if i were to do a flier or posters that the wording would have to be cut dramatically to allow for easy reading by the public/potential attendees.
