And don't forget to bring beers for swapping or giving away. As said above, smaller gathering (and hopefully small frequent gatherings) are a great way to share experiences. Even if you don't taste everything brought along, a few swaps is a great way to be able to sit back and really experience someone elses brew. The big tasting events are great fun, but from experience, there's not enough time to chat properly and in detail about individual beers. This is a nice idea if the management is happy.

It would be great to hold this say every 2 months on a particular Thursday in the month (i.e. 3rd Thursdays) Then those of us who are not resident in the capital can make plans for coming to Dublin well in advance.

I'd hope that it would be possible to drag beer enthusiasts out to the pub once every month, but we'll see how it goes.
