Fun and all as the big tasting nights are, a couple of homebrewers have said that they'd prefer something a bit smaller to get face-to-face feedback on their beers, do swaps, and generally talk brewing without the whole chaos of a big event.
So, with the kind co-operation of our friends in the Bull & Castle, I've booked a table for a smaller meet-taste-swap event on [b:26pfw68o]Thursday 21st August[/b:26pfw68o] -- for roughly ten people. It's not very many people and it's not much notice [b:26pfw68o]but[/b:26pfw68o] if lots of people want to go I think we should give preference to the homebrewers (us sponges will sit at the next table and throw beermats at yiz), and if it works out, and the management approve, we could possibly do this every month or two. The overall aim is to ensure that everybody who has a beer they want to try out on other homebrewers has the opportunity to do so. I think it would be best if we limited people to bringing maximum two beers.
I also see no reason why we can't still do the occasional big tasting event as well.
Anybody interested? If nothing else you can sit and drink Hooker with me.
