Couldn't agree more - O'Haras Celtic Stout is an exceptional beer (in bottled form). I'm forever going into Redmonds with the intention of buying something new and exotic and coming out with a few bottles O'Haras which I could have easily got in the Spar which is much nearer to my gaff![/quote:7ih38uc5]

I'd really love if they'd get O'Hara's into more pubs as a credible alternative to Guinness.

On the topic of O'Hara's, I wasn't too impressed with the Easter Stout I tried out of B&C. I missed it in Porterhouse. I don't think it tasted right, maybe a dirty glass or it was the first pint or something. Just left a weird taste in my mouth, can't describe it.

Yes, when I had it in PH at the beer award thing, I thought it was lovely, but then I had one a little while ago and I can't remember where I had it and it tasted wrong. Can't remember where it was though.

Had the Chocolate Truffle Stout in the Porterhouse with lunch today. I was pretty surprised by it - was expecting a much bigger flavour to it, seemed almost a little watery to me. Bland would be putting it too strongly, but after having it built up so much I'm kinda disappointed to say that I think Young's is better :/

Maybe just a bad pint (and actually, it wasn't bad, I did still enjoy it), but disappointing nonetheless. Possibly a case of having it built up too much?

Nope I thought the same. The chocolatey flavour isn't as strong as last year. It's still very nice though.

Had a few pints of Triple Chocoholic in Wetherspoons tonight, really good. Way better than Youngs chocolate stout and other similar drinks. Wetherspoons would be a great addition to Dublin, pity it will never happen.

What's Triple Chocoholic?

I'd bloody love if we could get some Weatherspoons in to Ireland. Their ultra low booze prices are great considering how expensive drink is here - though of course not a political winner cause we have to pay through the nose to get our of our nose/face/box/bin/trolley etc.

Best thing about Weatherspoon is that they're commmited to proper local brews as well as "Real Ale".
