found a flyer and its seems to be opening tonight. it has beers "exlusive to Tramco".

Cashel Lager, Dearg Ale,Killary lager, mizen stout. so 2lager, a stout and a red ale.pushing the boat out there!

anyway hopefully it will be good fare but from the wording it seems it's not brewed on site as suspected.the badges look very amateur though!i'll see if i can find a camera and stick up a photo

couldnt find a camera and my phone is from the dark ages so just made a quick copy of 2 of them.took about 10seconds for each one. the other two are similar in artistic merit.dont judge a book and all that!

Hi all, I was around the area this morning, and saw what looked like a new place opening up called "tramco brewery". I was intrigued, I walked over to take a look through the window (it was closed).

I asked the guy next to me, who was also peering in, when this new place opened - he said "Thursday or Friday night". I had a real quick look at the beer list through the window, and a few things struck me:
1. The "Cashel lager" is described as a german wheat beer, a hefeweizen, and called a "larger"
2. In at least 2 other places it said "larger" where I thought they meant "lager" - but perhaps they were taking the piss?

From the looks of it, all the taps at the bar are for their 4 beers.

I'm intrigued and would be happy to give it a go... but it doesn't bode well if you are attempting to be some kind of micro brewery and are referring to your "german wheat beer" as a "larger". Perhaps I totally misread the descriptions somehow..?

So, anyone tried it yet?

Apparently it was open over the weekend, but must be evening only as it was closed on Saturday afternoon.

Sounds like they're following the successful model of their sister superpub by commissioning a range of speciality beers while knowing absolutely nothing about them. Only I've heard[/url:zi29h27z] they're not following MM's sensible pricing policy.

Make of this what you will:

Herself says the stout is quite nice, but the lager's a bit crap and the wheat beer's so-so.
