Growler fills in Irish pubs? 13 years 5 months ago #7

Ohh, a growler of cask beer to take home and enjoy, that would be nice. Wow, need a pint now <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Absolutely TBN! There are a couple of pubs in my native Durham that used to offer take outs in cartons just like that...sitting at my desk now wishing I had one next to me!

Could definitely be a cost-saver, although not sure the beer would keep for as long (but hell, if there's anyone on here who could show the restraint not to drink a carton of lovely fresh beer as soon as getting home I'd love to meet them!!)

word is that sweetmans will be bringing them in, they are "working on it" is what i was told and they have no idea of prices etc.

Side note, I really like their porter!!!

Hollands in Bray have been offering Growler fills now for about 3-4 months. Not too bad when they have 5 or 6 good craft beers on tap.
